2 pcs yolks

500g flour

1 pinch of salt

40g butter

2 pkg vanilla sugar

3 tbsp rum

1 pinch of cinnamon (ground)

190 ml milk

1 tbsp honey

Preparation:

Preheat oven to 190°C/375°F

Cover the dough and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour.

The filling:

Combine sugar, rum, poppy seeds, cinnamon, milk and honey in a saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly, then set aside to cool.

Melt a stick of butter. Roll out dough on a floured work surface and divide into 8 equal squares.

Place 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center of each dough piece and close and twist the ends over the filling.

Roll the Buchteln/donuts in the butter and place, seam side down, in the square pan.

Cover the square pan and let the Buchteln rise again in a warm place for 20 minutes.

Bake the Buchteln for about 35 minutes at top/bottom heat in a preheated oven until done.
